This, the first page of the letter, reads:
"To Dr. Cordelia A. Greene
The officers of the County Political Equality Club, an organization that you were helpful in starting to advance the cause of women in our community, send greetings and good wishes on the memorable occasion of fifty years residence in your home. Your life and work in the medical profession has been such a example of the capbilities and usefulness of women in this field of action that those following will fid much of the prejudice allayed which was so strong against women when you commenced your work."
